Draft #1: How often do you think about what you would do in complicated situations? Personally I do not think about them too much but when I do, it is easy to come to a solution but it is sometimes hard to say what you would do in a complicated situation. In the article “Considering the Lobster” by David Wallace talks about how we kill lobsters for food and can feel pain. The article talks about consciousness of the lobster and makes you think about whether killing them for food is good or bad. How often do you think about if animals have consciousness? The definition of consciousness in the dictionary is the state of being conscious; awareness of one’s own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings. How often do you think about if animals have consciousness? Wallace wants to make people think about how they are killing animals and if it is the right thing to do. This is a complicated topic because some people agree not to kill animals for food so they become vegan but other people do not care and believe they were made to be eaten.
